Wimberly Wolfe’s educational journey was an interesting one. He enrolled in Forest Lake Academy in Apopka, Florida, in 1964. While there he took a printing class – against his wishes. Wolfe’s college experience was a short one as he was asked to leave Southern Missionary College – now Southern Adventist University because of his grades. So in 1968, Wolfe had to return to something he to make ends meet – printing.

Wolfe is known all over the Pathfinder network for his craftiness in pin designs – which he has been doing for the past 20 years. Currently, he is the owner of W2 Productions, the company that is responsible for making approximately 70,000 pins for the 2009 International Pathfinder Camporee in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. According to Wolfe, the hottest pin at the Camporee is the Atlantic Union double spinner. This pin features all of the conferences located in the Atlantic Union on a rotating wheel type contraption. Some of Wolfe’s other “cool” pins
for the Camporee include one that focuses on the 60th anniversary of Pathfinders and a medallion that represents all the Camporees since 1985.

Other popular pins of territories across the North American Division Wolfe has been responsible for creating include Georgia Cumberland, Southern New England, Northern California, the Dakotas, and Minnesota just to name a few.  His Southern Union pin creation in 2007 featured eight connecting pieces. Created with the purpose of engaging youth in teamwork, portions of this pin was only given to certain clubs so that they would work together to assemble the complete pin. “True pin trading is about meeting new friends, working together, and having fun,” he said.

Wolfe is a member of the Forest Lake Church in Apoka, Florida. He loves youth events and was a Pathfinder back in the mid 1950s.
