Puppets Used to Spread the Gospel After learning the art of the puppeteer, JCI class participants traveled to the Lenwood Nursing Home to spread the gospel with puppets. New Techniques and Ideas Shared to Encourage Growth in Spanish- and French-Speaking Populations French and Spanish learning tracks were offered to delegates at the Just Claim It youth prayer conference in Dallas, Texas. Delegates Bring Hope to Dallas Neighborhoods Approximately 100 individuals boarded the DART Rail to travel to Dallas neighborhoods where they knocked on doors and prayed with strangers. They left a door hanger, a book by Shawn Boonstra, and a short survey. Young People Witness to Dallas Community with Parade Sabbath afternoon at the Just Claim It youth prayer conference, a parade was held. Floats portrayed Genesis to Revelation and marching bands set the pace. JCI Delegates Challenged to Get Connected to the Master At the closing session of the Just Claim It youth prayer conference in Dallas, Texas, James Black challenges youth to continue their good works when they return home. JCI Delegates Reach out to Dallas Homeless JCI delegates first attended an education and skills training seminar before venturing out to work with the homeless population in Dallas, Texas. Delegates Deliver Ministry to the Elderly Participants of a drama ministry class at the Just Claim It youth prayer conference in Dallas, Texas, brought cheer to nursing home residents. Local Adventist Coordinates Just Make Overs A local Adventist, Diana Tyler, coordinated the Just Make Overs events in Dallas, Texas. Just Make Overs provided outreach opportunities for the Just Claim It youth prayer conference delegates. The Atmosphere of Prayer At the Just Claim It youth prayer conference, delegates were surrounded with opportunities to share prayer requests and pray with others. Street Preacher Experiences Answered Prayer Katie Will, of Gridley, California, witnessed during the Street Preaching practicum and experienced answered prayer. Street Preacher Witnesses Miracles Philip Rivera of Los Angeles, California, encourages a stranger to stop smoking during the Street Preaching practicum at the Just Claim It prayer conference. God Uses Amateur Street Preacher Vickie Gadot Merceus, of Montreal, Quebec, discovered God could use her as a street preacher, even though she didn't think she knew what to say. Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Stops by to Encourage, Challenge Young People Dallas mayor pro tem Donald Hill stopped by one of the general sessions to express his encouragement and appreciation of the young people by issuing a city-wide proclamation. Delegates Tour Messiah's Mansion Oklahoma Academy's Messiah's Mansion is a life-size replica of the wilderness sanctuary that delegates can tour in the exhibit hall. Delegates Reach Out To Local Nursing Home Residents On each afternoon of the convention, delegates spread out into the Dallas community to serve and share their faith. Participants of the Nursing Home practicum discovered God had Plan B when their original ministry plan fell flat. JCI Sponsors Bible Reading Marathon JCI delegates read through the entire Bible at the Bible Reading Marathon. Delegates Write Messages to God A prayer wall in the convention lobby gives attendees a chance to write prayer requests. Arlington Church Hosts JCI Concert Rally Music extravaganza held week before Prayer Conference
